She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorse Adkins and Georgia Thacker Adkins; her husband George W. Charles; and her siblings, Robert Adkins, Chester Adkins, Edythe Mae Coleman and Glema Charles.
She is survived by: her children, Larry Charles (Ina) and Merita Briggs; her sister Mary Magdalene Hockett; and her granddaughters, Kimberly Newberry (Wayne), Kristina Webber (Mathew), Connie Preble (Clint) and Traci Purvis. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, three great great grandchildren.
