He was predeceased by: his parents, R. H. Perry and Ebbie Bruce Perry; his former wife Marjorie Sue Boyd Perry; and his sister Bertie Maxine Perry. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Ann Perry; his children, Sheila Perry, Debra Leach, Tana Farmer and David Perry (Angela); his stepsons, Jamie Chambers (Robin) of Brookport, IL. and Richard Poindexter; and his brother Vernon Perry of Detroit, MI.. He is also survived by Twelve grandchildren, thirty five great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
