He was predeceased by: his wife Janice Jetton Holmes; his siblings, Imogene Holmes Armstrong and Thurmond Holmes; and his parents, Marvin Holmes and Ova Brewington Holmes.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lori Holmes of Sedalia, KY, Elaina Holmes Smithson of Sedalia, KY, Leslie Holmes Ostrander (Roger) of Charlestown, IN and Jennifer Holmes Gossum (Jared) of Mayfield, KY; and his sisters, Juanita Holmes Alexander of Mayfield, KY and Teresa Holmes Mangrum of Mayfield, KY. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
