He was predeceased by: his wife Juanita Smith Darnell; his children, Eugene Darnell, Jr. and Vanessa Carter; and his parents, Harry Darnell and Georgia Darnell.
He is survived by: his children, Scott Darnell of Graves County and Debbie Johnston of Sedalia, KY. He is also survived by two sisters; seven grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
