He was predeceased by: his parents, Emerson Melton and Anna Melton; his daughter Laura Leigh Melton Daniel; and his great grandchild Quay Brooks Daniel. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Scott Melton; his daughter Kelly Melton Edmondson (Steve); his son-in-law Kerry Daniel; his grandchildren, Kyle Melton Daniel (Tara) of West Lafayette, IN, Christopher Daniel and Felicia Daniel; his great grandchildren, Bristol Daniel and Hunter Eli Daniel; and his brothers, Don Melton of Owensboro and Steve Melton (Marilyn) of Lexington.
