With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Lou Johnson of Sebree, Kentucky, born in Webster, Kentucky, who passed away on August 25, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alva Cary and Helen Cary (Coffman); and her siblings, Gertie Stephens, Ruth Harth, Mabel Ottens and Herbert Cary.
She is survived by: her husband C. E. "Jake" Johnson; her children, Eddie Johnson (Teresa) of Dixon, KY, Melody Fisher (Bruce) of Smith Mills, KY and Tonja Townsend (Darrell) of Slaughters, KY.; her grandchildren, Matt Melton, Sue Ellen Penley (John), Cary Hicks (David), Adam Townsend, Lindsey Rogers (Ryan) and Todd Townsend (Kassie); and her great grandchildren, Margaret, Hammond Penley, Fisher, Wallace Hicks, Emma, Carson, Bentley Rogers, Libby, Jax Townsend, Gracie and Rayleigh Alexander. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
