He was predeceased by : his father Jimmy K. Brooks. He is survived by : his wife Kristi Brooks of Sebree, KY; his daughter Jordyn Brooks of Morganfield, KY; his stepchildren, Chantal Holtzclaw, McKenzie Gamache, Valerie Knight, Niecie Kubach of Madisonville, KY, Vanessa Hoggard of Henderson, KY and Justin Bennett of Madisonville, KY; his mother Judith Dreiman of Henderson, KY; and his brothers, Jeff Brooks of Baskett, KY and John Brooks of Hopkinsville, KY. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 1 niece.
