It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Otis Catlin of Sebree, Kentucky, born in Herald, Illinois, who passed away on July 9, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Judd Donald and Vally Catlin (Nelson); his former wife Minnie Jane Catlin (Thomas); his siblings, Kenneth Wayne Catlin, Erma Walls, Hilda Snider, Vonda Downey and Juanita Hoy; and his son-in-law Mark Henry Mahurin.
He is survived by: his wife Nelda Smith Catlin (Ellis); his children, Patsy Mahurin of Dixon, Tommy Catlin (Carolyn) of Sebree and Timmy Catlin (Anita) of Sebree; his stepson Monte Smith (Rita) of Bremen, KY; and his grandchildren, Mandy Fambrough, Marcy Mahurin, Ryan Mahurin, Matthew Catlin, Daniel Catlin, James A. Catlin and Jayleigh Catlin. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
