He was predeceased by: his former wife Mina Jones Hendrix Mefford; his wife Nancy Estes Fleming Mefford; his parents, Clint Mefford and Edith Bastin Mefford; and his sisters, Mary Ellen Mefford and Ima Jean Atzinger.
He is survived by: his children, Jeff Mefford (Tammy) of Henderson and Glenna Fisher (Gene) of Morganfield; his stepdaughter Shawn Metzroth (Chris) of Louisville; his grandchildren, Dean Tudor (Lucille) of Bloomington, IL, Brecca Mefford of Henderson and Emily Chambliss of Henderson; his great grandchild Ender Chambliss of Henderson; and his siblings, Owen Mefford (Carol) of Clarksville, TN, Vernon Mefford of Bloomington, IN, Mike Mefford of Madisonville, Barbara Palmer of Chicago, IL and Sharon Topmiller (David) of Central City. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
