He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Davison Spencer and Ruth Ellen Wood Spencer; his wife Carol Wayne Buchanon Spencer; his sons, Wayne Spencer, Jr. and Jeffery Spencer; and his siblings, Carl, Neal, Charles, Read Spencer, Clara Eaton and Mayme Kirk.
He is survived by: his son Lester Spencer (Debbie) of Scottsville, KY; his sister Barbara Rayburn of Scottsville, KY; his sister-in-law Clarine Petty Taylor of Scottsville, KY; his grandson Thomas Spencer; his stepgrandchildren, Allison Wheeler (Nick) and Adam Lee; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Harper Wheeler, Nora Wheeler, Marcus Lee and Jordan Lee. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
