It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Rebecca Dyer of Scottsville, Kentucky, who passed away on November 18, 2024, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her brother Earl Thompson; and her siblings-in-law, Gail Thompson and Elree Yates. She is survived by: her husband Lowell Delane Dyer of Scottsville, KY; her daughter Natalie Dyer Kranz (Christian) of Scottsville, KY; her siblings, Malcom Thompson (Patty) of Scottsville, KY, Oscar Thompson of Scottsville, KY, Gladys Yates of Scottsville, KY, Wanda Martin (Eugene) of Scottsville, KY, Betty Sullivan (David) of Scottsville, KY and Linda Herrington (Richard Lynn) of Scottsville, KY; and her brother-in-law Barry Dyer (Diane) of Scottsville, KY. She is also survived by Several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Goad Funeral Home (215 W Main St, Scottsville, KY 42164). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Red Hill General Baptist Church. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
