He was predeceased by: his wife Melissa Carter; and his grandparents, Calvin and Jean Carter. He is survived by: his parents, Sam Carter and Kim Carter; his sons, Landon Ryan Carter, Calvin Carter and Turner Jasper Carter; his sister Terrica Carter; and his grandparents, Glenda Perkins (Joe Spivey) and Bobby Perkins.

In leu of flowers Eli's request was for donations to be made to the Dream Center to help make a difference in someone's life.
