He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Shockley and Virgie Belle Hale Shockley; and his son Bruce Wayne Shockley (Diane). He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Shockley of Scottsville, KY; his daughter Karen Shockley Costello (Jeff) of Scottsville, KY; his grandchildren, Corey Shockley (JoBeth), Jake Costello (Carlie) and Elly Shockley; his great grandchildren, Avery, Bodey and Madelyn Shockley; and his grandchildren, Case and Corbin Costello.
