He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry Long and Eula Viola Driver Long; his wife Sarah Edith Cooper Long; and his siblings, Edward Long, Bro. Nolan Long, Bro. Charles Long, J. R. Long, Bro. Landon Long and Beatrice Stinson.
He is survived by: his children, Ricky Long (Vickie Jo) of Scottsville, KY and Vickie Harper (Michael) of Scottsville, KY; and his grandchildren, Amanda Francis (William), Melissa Clarke (Dwayne), William Long (Ashley), Kalan Long (McKenzie), Travis Durocher and Vanessa Durocher. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Goad Funeral Home (215 W Main St, Scottsville, KY 42164). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
