He was predeceased by: his parents, Aubrey Neal Austin and Bobbie Lucille Jones Austin; and his siblings, Gerald Austin, Bill Austin and Carol Becker.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Jones Austin of Scottsville, KY; his daughters, Karen Jones (Bradley Hix) of Scottsville, KY and Angel Jacobs (Matt) of Nashville, TN; and his sister Bobbie Rutheford of Scottsville, KY. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and great grandchildren.
