He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Jackson and Gracie Lane Jackson; his wife Elizabeth Ann Smith Jackson; his daughter Penny Louise Wix; his grandson Richard Wix; and his siblings, Mae Wilson, Billy Jackson, David Jackson and Rondal Jackson.
He is survived by: his children, Tommie Britt (Kevin) of Scottsville, Jerry Wayne "Bug" Jackson, Jr. of Scottsville and Jerri Lynn Johnson (Eric) of Bowling Green; his grandchildren, Jon-Michael Clement, Katie Jackson, Dakota Britt, Christopher Maysey, Taylor Jackson, Morgan Young and Chase Jackson; and his sister Judy Poynter (Roger) of Glasgow. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
