She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Cleveland Beal and Opal Gilliam Beal Phillips of Doniphan, MO; her brother Robert Cates; and her stepfather Donald Phillips. She is survived by: her husband Ray Steele of Scottsville, KY; and her son Joshua Steele (Ali) of Scottsville, KY.
