James Ray Desmon Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Ray Desmon of Scottsville, Kentucky, who passed away on January 28, 2022 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paten Smith Disman and Valina Irene Williams Disman; his former wife Susie Devillier Desmon; his daughter Pamila Bewley; his stepson Bobby Murphy; and his sister Rose Sullivan.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Weaver Desmon of Scottsville, KY; his children, James "Bubba" Desmon II of Scottsville, KY, Rebecca Matthews-Gutherie (Marty) of Scottsville, KY and Victoria Ovitt (George) of Largo, FL; his stepchildren, Jeromy Smith of Scottsville, KY and Kelly Sheren of Scottsville, KY; his sister Opal Hayes of Scottsville, KY; and his grandchild Keylie Smith. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the DAV Chapter 20 or to Oak Grove General Baptist Church Cemetery and can be made at the funeral home.
