She was predeceased by: her parents, Denver James and Lotta "Lottie" Mae Hughes James; her foster parents, G. W. Dillard and Betty Dillard; and her siblings, Margaret Matthews, Bobby, Howard, Edward James and Jesse Fehrle.
She is survived by: her husband Fred Gibbs of Scottsville, KY; her daughters, Felecia Ann Hudson of Bowling Green, KY and Penny Garrett (Darryl) of Lexington, KY; her brother Jody James (Carolyn) of Franklin, KY; her grandchildren, Tyler Hudson and Amanda Kerr; and her great grandchildren, Ethan Kerr and Iris Kerr.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
