It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Garnie Thomas Hawks in Scottsville, Kentucky, who passed away on March 31, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thomas Hawks and Ora Elmore Hawks; his son Christopher Allen Hawks; and his siblings, Garnetta Glass, Don Hawks and Kenneth Hawks.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Hawks; his sons, James Kelly Hawks, Jason Jerome Hawks, Anthony Hawks, Ronald Hawks, Tony Stovall and Timmy Stovell; his grandchildren, Matt Hawks, Sarah Hawks, Emily Hawks, Lauren Hawks Herald (Sam), Lindsay Tracy (Chris) and Austin Stovall (Holly); and his great grandchildren, Cade, Colsen, Logan, Shawn, Hiram and Gideon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the T. W Crow and Son Family Funeral Home (201 N Court St, Scottsville, KY 42164). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at the Union Chapel Cemetery.
