It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Effie Marie Buchanon (Scottsville, Kentucky), who passed away on August 23, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Rivers Hobdy and Era Leta Thompson Hobdy; and her siblings, Evelyn Perkins, Bill Hobdy, Emma Taggart, Arthur Hobdy, Elsie Bell, Earline Russell, Eleanor Dotson, Dick Hobdy, Era Leta Orrison, John Hobdy and Estellle Hobdy.
She is survived by: her children, Rogerlynne Briddon (Don) and John Hobdy Buchanon (Elizabeth); her grandchildren, Shannon Weaver (Mindy), Daniel Fisher (Susanna), Vera Gosse (Ryan), Anna Fisher Drummond, Jackson Buchanon (Cate) and Caroline Buchanon; her great grandchildren, Haley Fisher, Kaleb Fisher, Layne Weaver Johnson, Avery Weaver, Gray Weaver, Henry Maxwell Drummond, Claire Gosse, Elijah Fisher, Alexander Gosse, Evelyn Buchanon and Georgiana Buchanon; and her great great grandchildren, Luke Fisher, Jace Fisher and Drew Fisher. She is also survived by children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren.
