He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolphus "Doc" Copas and Mildred Catherine White Copas; his sisters, Freda Crowe, Marjoria Cooper and Dorris Mings; and his great grandchild Ruby Alexandra Copas.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Taylor Copas of Scottsville, KY; his children, Jeff Copas (Lisa) of Scottsville, KY, Tim Copas of Scottsville, KY, Steve Copas of Scottsville, KY, Kelvin Copas (Cindy) of Scottsville, KY and Karen Copas of Scottsville, KY; his brother Roger Dale Copas of Watertown, TN; and his grandchildren, Wesley Copas, Bradley Copas, Brian Copas (Allison), Amanda Woods (Andy), Jesse Calvert, Dustin Calvert, Jacob Copas, Phillip Todd Copas (Emily), Lucy Copas and Malliea Copas. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren and Several nieces and nephews.
