It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norena Purcell of Science Hill, Kentucky, born in Manchester, Kentucky, who passed away on July 16, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis J. Morris and Laura Hacker Morris; her husband Francis Edward Purcell; her grandchildren, Timothy and Chris; her siblings, Farris Morris, Rawleigh Morris, Bruce Morris, Johnny Morris, Fern Webb and Florence Marie Morris; and her sons-in-law, Doug Strunk, Jamie Graham and Phillip Hosack.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Edwards (Larry), Laura Strunk (Doug), Ruth Brewster (Carson), Yvonne Nichols (Steve), Lewis Blankenship (Dawn), Melissa Wesley (Raymond) and Kimberly Graham; and her sister Nettie Rawlings of Manchester. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
