She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Bowman and Jalia Bowman (Abney); her husband Melvin Ellis Wright, Sr.; her son Garry Wright of Versailles, Kentucky; her siblings, Robert Bowman, Isaac Bowman, Casper Bowman, Earnest Bowman, Edd Bowman, Wilmoth Clark and Ethel Clark; and her half-siblings, Burgess Abney and Leeoma Abney.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Ping (Don) of Somerset and Melvin Ellis Wright, Jr. of Science Hill; her stepdaughter Sue Bailey of Matthews; her grandchildren, Ricky Ping (Betty) of Somerset, Donald William "Billy" Ping of Springfield, Bryan Wright (Angela) of Lexington, Kentucky, Carrie (Glen) and Laurie Wright of Cincinnati, OH; her great grandchildren, Ashley Stout (Nathan) of Somerset, Brittany Blosser (Justin) of Science Hill and Edgar Tyler of Evansville, Indiana; and her great great grandchildren, Brynlee Stout, J. P., Olivia, Elijah and Noah Blosser. She is also survived by many nieces and cousins.
