She was predeceased by: her parents, Vertie Burdine and Nannie Bell Burdine; and her sister Anna Hutchinson. She is survived by: her son Jimmy Lee Bates (Bernice) of Danville; her grandchildren, Haley Elizabeth Bates and Jordan Lee Bates; and her siblings, Kenneth James Burdine, Ruth Ann Jennings and Venus Darlene Monin.
