She was predeceased by: her parents, John Nelson Harper and Doritha Bea Phelps Harper; her husband James Estill Mercer; and her son James Loyd Mercer. She is survived by: her siblings, Ophia Harper Brower, Ora Harper Mahaffey, Anna Marie Harper Warren, Allene Faye Harper Dye and James Orville Harper; her daughter Deborah Eads (Doug) of Science Hill; her grandchildren, Adam Douglas Eads (Beverly) of Russell Springs and Abigail Brianna Eads of Science Hill; her great grandchild Luna Abigail Eads; her brother Vergis Nelson Harper of Somerset; and her niece Brenda Sue Dye Coner of Science Hill. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, other family members, special friends.
In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Lake Cumberland, or the Sweeney Chapel Cemetery Fund.
