He was predeceased by: his parents, James Garfield and Ada Prichard Matlock. He is survived by: his children, Douglas J. Matlock of Nicholasville, Kentucky, Rhonda Story (Jeff) of Lexington and Amy Michelle Randall (Alan) of North Vernon, Indiana; and his grandchildren, Alyssa Wright (Leland), Ryan Story (Leah), Harrison Randall and Ethan Randall. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
