She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie Day and Nellie Day (Lewis); her husband Sam Coots; and her siblings, Hubert, Billy Joe Day and Anna Lou Schmidt.

She is survived by: her children, William Bradford (Tina Renee) of Science Hill, Johnny Ray Bradford (Jamie) of Riverview, Estill Sam Coots (Sherry Ann) of Somerset, Timothy Coots (Tammy) of Somerset, Jeffrey Coots (Angela) of Somerset, Hubert Coots (Kaire) of Nancy, Shane Coots (Colline) of Science Hill and Kimberly Starr Asher (Wally) of Science Hill; her cousin Pauline Kahlert; and her close friend Sharon Speaks. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren.
