It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lena Skaggs Sloas of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, who passed away on May 13, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Skaggs and Lula Bell Lewis Skaggs; and her brothers, Martin Skaggs, Johnny Skaggs and Edward Skaggs.
She is survived by: her sisters, Edna Skaggs, Juanita Thompson, Glenna Boggs and Jean Jones; her daughters, Johnetta (Jerry Ison) and Pam (Greg Flaugher); her sisters, Wathena Boggs of Sandy Hook and Myrtle Martin of Morehead; her grandchildren, Heather (Michael Rose), Garrett (Kaylee Porter) and Gavin Ison; and her great grandchildren, Paisley Rose, Teagan Porter and Eden Porter.
