He was predeceased by: his father Boyd Spencer; his children, Mason Lee Spencer, Glenn Spencer and Emma Ingram; his siblings, Bobby Spencer, Cecil Filders, Betty Bellamy and Irene Wilson; and his grandchildren, Paul Spencer and Shelby Spencer.
He is survived by: his wife Sally Manns Spencer; his daughter Patricia Gail Prater (Mark) of Salyersville; and his sisters, Emma Killgo of Texas and Aldene Williams of Means. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, and twenty-nine great grandchildren.
