He was predeceased by: his mother Phyllis Jo Arnett Minix; and his brother Jerry Scott Minix. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Risner Minix; his son Christopher Neil Minix of Lexington; his stepsons, John Brandon Lovely, Justin Ryan Lovely and Channing Brown; his daughters, Krista Jo Rowe (Thomas) of Salyersville and Heather Greenleaf of Lexington; and his siblings, Johnny Neil Minix (Charlene) of Salyersville, Teresa Faye Bailey (Kenny) of Salyersville, Tamela Kay Connelley (Pitt) of Salyersville and Terrie Sue Minix Fletcher of Salyersville. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren.
