He is survived by: his wife Brenda Sparks Carty; his children, Royal Thomas Carty, Jr. (Lora) of Chalmers, Daniel Ray Carty (Maggie) of Jackson, David Eugene Carty of Evans, Samuel Dale Carty of Salyersville, Tammy Lynn Perkins (Douglas) of White Oak, Connie Lea Whitaker (Anthony) of Evans, Tina Margaret Hale (Timmy) of Salyersville and April Ann Allen (Cheyenne) of Wheatfield; his siblings, Herbert Carty of Salyersville, Aaron Carty of Indiana, Walter Carty of Salyersville, Betty Lou Whitaker of Salyersville, Phyllis Ann Whitaker of Salyersville, Barbara Sue Dingus (Russell) of Salyersville, Hubert Carty, John Carty and Edsel Ford Carty; and his great grandchild Evert Dale Allen. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.
