He is survived by: his wife Melinda Nester Ray; his children, Chelsea Bailey (Andrew Poe) of Salyersville, Letasha Bailey (John Howard) of Salyersville and Steven Putman Jr. of Inez; and his siblings, Shantel Ray Castle of Indiana, Shenna Ray of Paintsville, Cody Ray of Wheelright and Coby Ray of Tennessee. He is also survived by six grandchildren, a host of family and friends.
