He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Adkins and Cora Howard Adkins; his wife Readith Howard Adkins; and his sister Mae Adkins Williams. He is survived by: his sons, Merle Adkins (Dora) of West Liberty, Diral Adkins (Margie) of Salyersville and Ferrell Adkins of Elizabethtown; his grandchildren, Shawn Adkins (Sarah Connelley), Tiffany Adkins Harder (Carl), Matthew Pennington (Tiffany Crawford), Rebecca Roscoe and Quest Adkins; and his great grandchildren, Case Adkins, Connor Adkins and Jett Foley. He is also survived by fourteen half brothers.
