Michael Long Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Long of Salyersville, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 8, 2025 at the age of 47. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Gordon Burgen, Martha Long and Carroll Davis. He is survived by: his parents, Gordon Long and Carolyn Davis Long; his wife Sebrina Helton Long; his daughter Ashton Long of Salyersville; his siblings, David Long of Country and Bethany Newman (Christian) of Chicago; his uncles, Larry Long (Becky) of Winchester, Steve Long (Donna) of Jeffersonville and Tim Davis (Mary) of Winchester; his aunt Tammy Burchett of Lanier; his nephews, Eli Tate and Brysen; his niece Vivienne; and his grandmother Sally Davis. He is also survived by cousins, family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel (900 Parkway Dr, Salyersville, KY 41465).
In lieu of flowers, family has requested that contributions made to the Michael Gordon Long Scholarship Fund.
