He is survived by: his children, David Powers (Sherry) of Salyersville, James Louis Powers (Sonya) of Salyersville and Carolyn Sturgill (Keith) of Louisa; his grandchildren, Ryan Sturgill, Shane Sturgill, Joshua Powers, Megan Keeton and James Robert Powers; his great grandchildren, Rylan Sturgill, Jaxon Sturgill, Baylee Hatfield, Daven Powers, Bryson Powers, Karissa Keeton, Samantha Wheatley, Maryanne Wheatley and Will Wheatley; and also, Melissa Patrick and Clay Lyon.
