He was predeceased by: his parents, Less Risner and Julie Whitaker Risner; his wife Rosa Mae Bailey Risner; his siblings, Kermit Risner, Garland Risner, Boyd Risner, Edith Risner Howard, Susie Prater, Mary Risner, Estie Fitzpatrick and Goldie Risner; and his sons-in-law, Gary Gibson and Carison Slone.
He is survived by: his children, Stan Kelly Risner (Jerri) of Salyersville, Shannon David Risner (Tonya) of Salyersville, Rosa Sharon Slone (Ricky Gamble), Laura Edith Howard (Harry) and Julie Marie Hall (Scottie); and his siblings, Lloyd Risner of Royalton, George Risner of Royalton and Sissy Prater of Royalton. He is also survived by twenty-six grandchildren, forty-three great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, family has requested that contributions made to the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
