He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Carpenter and Anna Bell Conley Carpenter; and his sisters, Ruth Kathern Carpenter Blanton, Martha Kay Carpenter Conley and Sarah Louise Carpenter.
He is survived by: his wife Selma Ruth Arnett Carpenter; his children, Kenneth Bruce Carpenter of Salyersville, David Morgan Carpenter of Pensacola and Jonna Ruth Carpenter of Salyersville; his brother Leonard F. Carpenter of Wooster; his grandchildren, Kendra Dee Terante, Kayla Maxine Carpenter, Kelly Nichole Carpenter and John Morgan Carpenter; and his great grandchildren, Bentley Morgan Carpenter, Maley Carpenter, Rory Terante and Tatum Carpenter.
