He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodford Howard and Mae Howard; and his brother Billy Joe Howard. He is survived by: his wife Elena; his children, Curtis G. Howard of Benton Harbor, Kelly William Howard of Stockbridge and Patrice Ann Howard Maier; his siblings, Dud Larry Howard of Richmond, Buddy Daniel Howard of Kentucky, Betty Rae Howard of Kentucky, Ella Lousie Howard Love of Stockbridge and Bernice "Patty" Howard of Royalton; and his grandchildren, Ryan Marie Maier, Cheyenne Ashley Maier and Katlynn Nicole Maier.
