Powers and Emily Adams Powers; his former wife Imogene Blanton Powers; his sons, Frederick "Rick" Powers and Leonard "Ray" Powers; his daughter-in-law JoAnn "Jodi" Blanton Powers; his stepson-in-law Phillip "Phil" Porter; his stepdaughter Diana Lemaster; his grandson David Ray Powers; and his brothers, Ernest Powers, Paul Clayton Powers and Oliver Charles Powers.
He is survived by: his wife Maxie Blair Powers; his sister Lora Hall of Prestonsburg; his daughter-in-law Fran Houston Powers of Mississippi; his stepdaughters, Betty Porter of Ohio, Judy Conley (John) of Cynthiana and Bonnie Ellis of Paintsville; his grandchildren, Kimberly McCoy (Dave), Kelly Powers, Emily Stidham (Andy) and Nathaniel "Nathan" Grant Powers; his stepgrandchildren, Amy O'Relly (John), Jeff Porter, Karen McKinney, Gwendolyn Cheek, James Chadwick "Chad" Cheek, Donald Bradley "Brad" Cheek, Molly Holbrook and Katie Redmond; his sisters, Edith Powers, Nellie Jane Kelly, Pheoba Fitzgerald and Sina Rose Conger; and his stepgranddaughter Kimberly Dawn Cheek Helton. He is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
