He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland Helton and Gustie Howard Helton of Salyersville, Kentucky.; and his siblings, Holland Helton, Edgar Helton and Marcella Helton.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Gullett Helton; his son Gary Richard Helton (Melissa) of Salyersville; his granddaughter Madison Grace Helton of Salyersville; and his siblings, George Helton (Shirley) of Salyersville, Harrison Helton (Connie) of Salyersville, Tim Helton of Salyersville, Marjorie Blanton of Salyersville, Deloris Yates of Salyersville, Betty Combs of Salyersville, Wanda Reed (Ransom) of Salyersville and Jo Ella Huff (Alton) of Salyersville. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
