He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Bailey and Maude Marshall Bailey; and his son David Bailey. He is survived by: his wife Debra May Kennard Bailey; his children, Dwayne Bailey of Louisa, Jamie Bailey of Royalton, Robbie Kennard of Salyersville and Tonya Williams of West Liberty; and his sister Sandra Fletcher of Salyersville. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
