He was predeceased by: his parents, Ford Salyer and Irene Arnett Salyer; his wife Linda Lou Serbine Salyer; his son Michael Keith Salyer; his stepson Keith Lynn Carr; and his siblings, Walter Keith Salyer, Roger Dale Salyer and Vickie Lynn Minix.
He is survived by: his daughter Ashley Michelle Salyer of Salyersville; his stepdaughter Kathern Lynn Carr Snyder of Newport; his sister Debbie Thompson of Salyersville; his grandson Jackson Calloway Salyer of Salyersville; his stepgranddaughters, Amanda Ramen of Newport, Ashlea Henson of Newport and Rachel Job of Newport; and his nephew Mickey Thompson. He is also survived by nieces, and nephews.
