He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay T. Stephens and Flora Dunn Stephens; and his siblings, Jack Stephens, J. B. Stephens, Louie Stephens, Lance Stephens, Irene Lykins, Wilma Patrick, Versie Stevens and Janet Sue Stephens.
He is survived by: his wife La Dale Vance Stephens; his children, Marcus Shannon (Rebecca Stephens) of Salyersville and Susan Stephens of Salyersville; his brother Kenneth Stephens of Ohio; and his grandchildren, Lance Stephens, Lynzie Stephens and Cassidy Stephens.
