It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Newton Howes of Salyersville, Kentucky, who passed away on November 24, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Howes and Elizabeth Caudill Howes; his sisters, Catherine Estep and Irene Elam; and his nephew Bobby Joe Estep.

He is survived by: his wife Alta Howard; his children, Glenn Douglas (Doug), Belinda Gay Howes Greene (Geoffrey), Doug Howes (Paula) and Mike Howes (Neysa); his grandchildren, Charles, Christopher Douglas Howes (Rebecca), Kenneth O'Neil Salyer (Malana) and Amanda O'Bryan (Joshua); his great grandchildren, Charles, Emilia Howes, Jude Howes, Reece Salyer, Reagan Shea Salyer, Cooper O'Bryan, Camden O'Bryan, Lennox Howes, Gunner Howes and Bennett Howes; and his nephew Phillip Estep.
