She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert C. Layne and Mabel Conley Layne. She is survived by: her children, Scott Jenkins (Leah) of Salyersville and Kristi Russell (Darrell) of Salyersville; her niece Elizabeth Leann Pelphrey (Stevie Jo) of Paintsville; her siblings, Ed Layne (Michelle) of Maryland, Andrea Sue Howard of Salyersville, Barbara K. Layne of Salyersville and Juanita Layne of Maryland; her grandchildren, Whitney Sha Jenkins, Zachary Scott Jenkins, Emily Grace Russell and Caleb Darrell Russell; and her great-niece Laurel Olivia Pelphery.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, masks and social distancing are required.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for contributions be made to the Elk Creek Baptist Church, in Memory of Carol Jenkins.
