He was predeceased by: his parents, William Stewart and Lucy Hoskins Stewart; and his brother Charles Stewart. He is survived by: his wife Mecca Lynn Hardwick Stewart; his daughters, Melinda Toole (Eugene) of Brevard, Teresa "Terrie" Newell of Old Fort and Brandi Collins of Salyersville; his siblings, Shelby Stewart of Florida and Dottie Parmer of Florida; and his grandchildren, Ian Newell, Connor Newell, Shane Collins and Kirsten Conley.
