He was predeceased by: his parents, Bryan Rowe and Mollie Howard Rowe; his son Robert Edward Rowe; and his sister Barbara Lou Salyer. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jean Tydings Rowe; his children, John Fitzgerald Rowe (Tabitha) of Carlin, Billy Joe Rowe, Jr. (Michelle) of Charlotte, Bridget Ann Rowe of Denver, Melissa Louise Barnett (Kelly) of Salyersville and Rebecca Jean Craft (Eric) of Salyersville; his brothers, Lloyd Rowe of Bowling Green and Michael Rowe of St. Cloud; his grandchildren, Christine Ann Plante, Jeremy James Beins, Lara Ann Rowe, Barrie Louise Rosensiel, Michael Arthur Eklund, Katelynn Leana Roloson, Dalton Ray Barnett, Kaleb Teyton Barnett, Chastin Joe Barnett, Brinley Brooklyn Barnett, Logan Charles Rowe, Grace Clementine Rowe, Breanna Elizabeth Craft, Noah Max Gregory Craft and Levi Xavier Craft; his nephew David Salyer; and his pet Scooter. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, family has requested donations in the memory of Billy Joe Rowe, Sr., to the St. Jude Children Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Pace, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
