He was predeceased by: his parents, Denton Montgomery and Helen Beatrice Montgomery (Phillips); and his brother Marvin Montgomery. He is survived by: his wife Mary Bell Montgomery (Hill); his daughters, Mary Lynn Gray (Mark) of Harrodsburg, KY and Karen Weber (Terry) of Salvisa, KY; his grandchildren, Zachary Gray (Brittney), Ethan Gray and Lynzie Karsner (Josh); and his great grandchild Grayson Karsner.
