He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Lee and Martha Stigall Long; his siblings, Dorothy Osborne, Kenneth, Donald, Sterling, Bill and Roy Long; and his nephew Tom Shelley.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Long (Tammy) and Stephanie Long; his grandsons, Samuel Long and Jess Long; and his sister Mary Emma Shelley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
